Cookie Policy
Last updated: 31 May 2026
Good news: SportIQ takes a light touch with cookies. We don't run advertising or cross-site tracking. Here's exactly what we use and why.
Cookies and local storage
“Cookies” are small files a website can store in your browser. Closely related is local storage, which lets a site remember small bits of information on your device. Together they’re what let a site remember things between visits.
What SportIQ uses
- Essential cookies— set by our hosting provider (Google Firebase) to serve the site reliably and securely. The site can’t function properly without these.
- Local storage for features— we save small amounts of data on your device so interactive tools work, such as remembering your World Cup quiz progress, your match predictions, your referee votes and any standings adjustments you make. This data stays on your device and isn’t used to track you.
What we don’t use
We do notuse advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party marketing/analytics profiles. We don’t sell or share this information.
Managing cookies and stored data
You’re in control. You can clear or block cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this. Note that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working, and clearing local storage will reset things like your saved quiz progress or predictions.
More information
For how we handle any personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
Changes
If our use of cookies changes, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
